The Extreme Heat and Community Resilience Program (Extreme Heat Program) is pleased to announce the release of the Final Guidelines for its second round of funding. Round 2 is supported by the Climate Bond (Proposition 4) and the Greenhouse Gas Reduction Fund.
The Extreme Heat Program will fund infrastructure projects to reduce the impacts of extreme heat and build community resilience. Projects will protect people most harmed by extreme heat, doing so in partnership with the communities they serve, creating infrastructure that fosters a sense of belonging, and ensuring that investments contribute to lasting change.
We invite all prospective applicants to begin by completing a Pre-Application Interest Form, which provides access to the Full Application. There are two submission windows. We encourage you to submit as soon as Window 1 opens, even if you do not plan to request technical assistance.

- Window 2 (no technical assistance): Opens July 1 and closes Aug. 11 at 2 p.m. PST.
The Full Application closes on October 13 at 2:00 PM PST.
All applications must be submitted through Submittable.
Throughout the application period, Extreme Heat Program staff will host a series of optional events, including informational sessions, workshops, webinars, and office hours, to support you as you prepare your application.
