California’s Fifth Climate Change Assessment is seeking bold, original artwork from students in visual arts, illustration, and design that captures the realities of climate change – and resilience – across California.
Through artistic interpretation of the Fifth Assessment’s findings, this project demonstrates the power of art to advance the conversation around climate while offering students an opportunity for statewide exposure.
One selected artist will work directly with the Fifth Assessment team to develop 10 posters for the Resilient California Summit on Oct. 20–22, 2026 in Sacramento, and will receive $5,000 for the rights to use their designs in Fifth Assessment promotional materials.
We invite current students at California public colleges and universities to respond by the extended deadline of June 4.
